Rotate video
Pick the turn and drop your files. For MP4 and MOV the rotation is written into the file's metadata, so nothing is re-encoded; mirroring and other formats are re-encoded on your device.
How to use it
- Choose the turn: 90° right, 90° left, 180°, Mirror or Flip upside down.
- Drop your videos.
- Tick Re-encode the turn into the picture only if an app ignores the rotation.
- Click Start and download the files.
Frequently asked questions
Why is rotating so fast?
MP4 and MOV files store a display rotation. Toolula changes that value and copies the video data unchanged, which takes seconds and keeps the original quality.
An app still shows my video sideways — what now?
Some older players and editors ignore the rotation value. Tick “Re-encode the turn into the picture” and the frames themselves are rotated.
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and written inside your browser tab using WebCodecs — nothing is uploaded, there is no account and no watermark. Once loaded, the page also works offline.
