Frequently asked questions

Can I record the sound of the computer?

Chrome and Edge can share the sound of a browser tab, and on Windows of the whole computer; you tick "share audio" in the window that opens. Firefox and Safari record the picture and the microphone only.

Does it work on a phone?

No. Phone and tablet browsers don't offer screen capture to web pages. Use a computer.

Is there a time limit or a watermark?

No. The length is limited only by the free space on your device, as the file is written to disk while you record.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. The file is read and written inside your browser tab using WebCodecs — nothing is uploaded, there is no account and no watermark. Once loaded, the page also works offline.
