Collage maker
Drop your photos, pick a grid and a shape, then drag each photo into place — Toolula builds the collage in your browser and saves it at the size you choose.
About this tool
A Collage in a Minute, Without Uploading a Single Photo
Sixteen grids for 2 to 12 photos, sized for feeds, stories, widescreen or print.
Grids That Fit Your Photos
Even grids, columns and rows, or one large photo with smaller ones beside or below it. The layout follows the number of photos you drop until you pick one yourself.
Every Photo Framed Right
Drag a photo to choose what shows in its cell, zoom with the mouse wheel or the slider, and drop it on another cell to swap the two. Photos always fill their cell without stretching.
Ready for Feed, Story or Print
Square, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9 or A4 at up to 3240 px on the short side, with even spacing, an outer border, rounded corners and any background colour — or a transparent one as PNG, WebP or AVIF.
How to use it
- Drop 2 to 12 photos, or paste them with Ctrl + V.
- Pick a layout and a shape, then set spacing, border, corners and background.
- Drag each photo to frame it, scroll to zoom, and drop it on another cell to swap.
- Choose the size and format and click Save collage.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Every image is decoded, processed and encoded inside your browser tab with Canvas, Web Workers and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.
How many photos can a collage have?
From 2 to 12. There are layouts for 2, 3, 4, 6, 9 and 12 photos; photos that don't fit the chosen layout stay in the list, and you can click one to put it in the selected cell.
Which size should I pick for Instagram?
Choose 4:5 at 1080 × 1350 px for a feed post, 1:1 at 1080 × 1080 px for a square one and 9:16 at 1080 × 1920 px for a story or reel cover.
Can I print the collage?
Yes. A4 at 2480 × 3508 px is a full page at 300 dpi. Save it as PNG or as JPG at high quality for the sharpest print.
Is the saved collage the same as the preview?
Yes. The preview and the file are drawn by the same code at the same proportions, so spacing, corners and the part of each photo you framed match exactly — the file just has more pixels.
Is it free, and is there a watermark?
Yes, it is free to use without an account, and Toolula never adds a watermark. The free plan has fair-use limits; Toolula Pro, an optional plan, raises them.
