Watermark images

Drop your photos, type your name or add your logo, and place it once — Toolula puts the same watermark on every image and keeps the original format.

About this tool

Protect Your Photos Before You Share Them

One watermark, set once, applied to a whole folder of photos — without uploading any of them.

Text or Logo

Type a copyright line in any colour, or use a PNG or SVG logo with transparency. Size scales with each photo, so the mark looks the same on portrait and landscape shots.

Placed Where You Want

Nine grid positions, free placement by dragging on the preview, rotation, opacity, or a tiled pattern across the whole image that is hard to crop away.

Many Photos at Once

Every photo keeps its size and format (HEIC becomes JPG). Download them one by one or as a ZIP, and save your settings as a preset for next time.

How to use it

  1. Drop one or more photos, or paste one with Ctrl + V.
  2. Choose Text or Logo, then set size, opacity, rotation and position. The preview shows the selected photo exactly as it will be saved.
  3. Click Add watermark.
  4. Download each photo or all of them as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Every image is decoded, processed and encoded inside your browser tab with Canvas, Web Workers and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.

Is the watermark the same size on every photo?

It is the same relative size: text is measured against the shorter side of each photo and a logo against its width, so small and large photos get a mark in the same proportion.

Does adding a watermark reduce quality?

Photos keep their full resolution. PNG stays lossless; JPG and WebP are saved once at the quality you choose (92 % by default), which is visually indistinguishable from the original.

Can I use my logo with a transparent background?

Yes. PNG, WebP and SVG logos keep their transparency. SVG logos are rendered sharply at a large size first, so they stay crisp on big photos.

How do I make a watermark that is hard to remove?

Turn on Repeat across the image and rotate it a little. A tiled mark covers the whole photo, so it cannot be cropped out.

Is it free, and is there a watermark?

Yes, it is free to use without an account, and Toolula never adds a watermark. The free plan has fair-use limits; Toolula Pro, an optional plan, raises them.
